<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the cost sharply by a construction wherein the light emission surface of a light emission pellet and the light reception surface of a light reception pellet are so arranged that one of them looks to the direction opposite to that of the other within one and same molded package. CONSTITUTION:A light emission pellet is mounted on the surface 411 of a lead frame 41 and bonded on the frame 41 with a golden line. On the other hand, a light reception pellet 43 is mounted on the surface 412 of the frame 41 and bonded on the frame 41 with a golden line. In addition, their peripheries are molded with a transparent resin 44; the surfaces 441 and 442 are used as light emission and reception surfaces, respectively. Therefore, this element can function as a light emission or reception element. As a result, a multiple light cutoff is obtained, with extremely low production costs.</p> |
