PURPOSE:To obtain transfer efficiency which is stable over the entire surface of paper even if transfer is performed under high humidity by providing a control means for changing the magnitude of the voltage or current of a power supply means and making uniform the charge quantity for transfer to be applied onto transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:A transfer charger 5 is controlled so as to changer over the current to be impressed to a corona wire 30 in accordance with the rear end of transfer paper P and the parts except said rear end, is connected via a change- over switch SW to the wire 30 and is provided with two power sources 31, 32 for transfer having different output currents and a braking circuit 33 for controlling the change-over of the switch SW. The output current of the source 32 is set at such a value at which the corona charge quantity enough to obtain good transfer efficiency even under high temp. and high humidity is applied to the paper P. |
