The high speed, wide angle scanner for the aircraft has an optic system rotating about an axis parallel to the direction of travel and with a collimating lens (18) to direct the combined scan onto a single track, over a moving film. A large amt. of information can be stored on the film for subsequent retrieval. The film is scanned in a series of sloped stripes at high speed. The rotating scanner (15) is used for either optic or infrared surveillance. |
