<p>Combined organophilic/hydrophilic prod. based on clay minerals with 2- and/or 3-layered structure has the clay minerals decomposed with acid, resultant salts or other reaction prods. remaining in the prod. This material can be used for purificn. and adsorption, e.g. in chemical technology, petroleum and petro-chemistry, treatment of industrial water and sewage and related fields. Crystals still contg. salts exhibit novel properties, being capable of breaking oil-in-water emulsions with a nonionic emulsifier and of removing mercaptans and residual water from crude petroleum.</p> |
