发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AUTOMATIC WELDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To control automatically the position and welding speed of a welding torch by a simple and practicable method by emitting the respective electrical outputs proportional to the distances up to the groove faces in mutually opposite directions from a pair of heat resistant electromagnetic type detecting ends disposed in the welding groove, inputting the outputs to a main control device, and synthesizing and calculating the same. CONSTITUTION:A pair of heat-resistant electromagnetic type detecting ends 2L, 2R of a driving device 5 mounted with a welding torch 7 are disposed in the welding groove (g) of materials 1, 1' to be welded. The respective electrical outputs proportional to the distances up to the groove faces in mutually opposite directions are respectively outputted from the ends 2L, 2R. These outputs are inputted to a main control device 8 by which the outputs are synthesized and calculated to detect the center and groove width of the groove (g). The position and welding speed of the torch 7 are thereby automatically controlled. The welding is thus hardly influenced by the ruggedness, degree of finishing, deposit, etc. of the groove faces and the automatic control method for welding with which high accuracy and long life can be assured in the extremely adverse condition of high-temp. polluting atmosphere near the weld and high-temp. spattering is provided.
