The invention is intended to eliminate the aquaplaning state in passenger vehicles, lorries and aircraft and motorcycles as soon as it has occurred, in that compressed air is blown on to the <<aquaplaning film>> out of nozzles with a rectangular cross-section which are arranged swivellably in front of the wheels, the satisfactory steering and control of the vehicle then being possible again. The criterion for triggering is the undershooting of a minimum torque resistance at the steering wheel. If this minimum torque resistance is undershot, compressed air is blown in front of all the wheels of the vehicle. The minimum torque of the steering wheel triggers the activation of the device by means of a torque monitor. For the wintertime, the device can be switched off by means of a switch.
