Fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines with a valve needle (1) and a compression spring (6), which in the closing direction acts on the valve needle (1) by way of a thrust piece (7). Between compression spring (6) and thrust piece (7) a damping plate (24) is arranged, which damps the dynamic increases in tension in the compression spring (6) and its natural oscillations so that the compression spring (6) is not stressed to an inadmissibly high degree and no rebounds of the valve needle occur at the end of the closing stroke even at high injection frequencies. <IMAGE>
