PURPOSE:To obtain a titled detecting device for generating an exact winding signal of a plate material by converting a moving distance of a plate material discharged from a roll and a circumferential surface running distance of a winding machine, to a roll rotational angle period, respectively, and detecting the time when a difference of both the period is entered into a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:A moving distance of a strip material discharged from a rolling roll is counted in terms of a roll rotational angle period. On the other hand, a roll circumferential surface running distance of a winding machine is counted in terms of the roll rotational angle period, and also its counter is converted to a counter corresponding to a diameter of the rolling roll. The time when a difference of both the counters has entered into a prescribed counter difference which has added a plate thickness is regarded as a winding time of the winding machine, and a signal is transmitted. According to a conventional winding start signal, the strip material is caught before it is wound, and a detecting error is generated in case when a loop has been made, but in case of this device, there is no erroneous detection. |
