A circuit arrangement for a subscriber device (telephone) which can be connected to a telecommunication line (a, b) is specified which has, among other things, a microprocessor (5) and a storage capacitor (3). So that in each case a defined initial state is guaranteed when the circuit arrangement is switched on by a switch (1), the storage capacitor (3) is discharged via a bistable semiconductor arrangement (thyristor 6) controlled by the microprocessor (5) each time the switch (1) is opened. <IMAGE>
