PURPOSE:To prevent hardening and embrittling of the joined boundary part between a Ti-base metal and a gold alloy and to prevent half melting of a sheath during soldering with a composite wire consisting of the Ti-base metal as a core material and the gold alloy as a sheath material by using a specific metal for the intermediate layer between the two materials. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer 4 consisting of Ni, Ni-Cr alloy, stainless steel is disposed to a composite wire for spectacles, watch band, etc. consisting of joining a sheath material 2 composed of a gold alloy to a core material 1 composed of Ti or Ti alloy. The layer 4 consisting of, for example, SUS304 and an intermediate metal 5 consisting of Ag-Cu to braze said layer are disposed between the core material 1 and the sheath material 2 and the composite wire 3' having such construction is subjected to drawing followed by swaging and pressing, by which the temple of spectacles, etc. are manufactured. |
