PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of controlling operation voltage applied to the electrode by controlling the resistance of a voltage-dividing resistor, which is formed either directly on the inner surface of the glass tube of the neck of a cathode-ray tube or in a position facing the inner surface, by performing laser trimming on the resistor. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 17 is formed by performing application before and after the printing of a conductive film 5 using similar printing masks before performing sintering of a cathode-ray tube. The other end of the resistor 17 is connected to the earth through a terminal pin 16 connected to a tongue piece 19 integrated with a first grid electrode 9. The anode voltage is divided with the resistor 17 into two voltages which are then respectively supplied to a focus electrode 7 and a screen electrode 8 through tongue pieces 20 and 21 which are integrated with the resistor 17. After the assembly of the cathode-ray tube is completed, the resistor 17 is trimmed from outside the glass tube wall 18 of a neck 12 while measuring the resistance between the points of the divided voltages in order to control the resistance of the resistor 17. |
