1. Table, especially work table for terminal equipment of data processing installations, comprising a table frame possessing two lateral parts (1, 2), a table top (5), disposed between the lateral parts and adjustable in height and slope, and an adjustment apparatus for the table top, which comprises toothed racks (6, 7), disposed vertically in the lateral parts (1, 2) near to the front and rear edges of the table top (5), with gear wheels (8, 9) in engagement with the toothed racks, which gear wheels are connected together in pairs each by a shaft (10, 11) extending parallel to the front and rear edge respectively of the table top, and also mutually independent drives for the gear wheels disposed on the front and rear shafts respectively, the table top (5) being supported by the shafts (10, 11), characterized in that the drives comprise further gear wheels (20, 21), which are disposed on the shafts (10, 11) in the region between the lateral parts (1, 2), and drive members (22, 23) in engagement with the gear wheels, which drive members are drivable by means of spindles (24, 25) perpendicular to the shafts (10, 11), which spindles in turn are retained in bearing blocks (26, 27) journalled on the shafts (10, 11), but are journalled axially fixed relative to only one of these bearing blocks. |
