PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of a frequency discriminating circuit by making the direction of change of a frequency discriminating output to an oscillation signal output the same as the direction of change of an oscillating signal of the frequency discrimination output attended with the frequency fluctuation. CONSTITUTION:The frequency of an oscillator which is made stable with an output of the frequency discriminator using dielectric resonators 13, 14 shows a curve of nearly monotonous increase to the change of a control voltage and the input power has a characteristic whose voltage is increased in response to the voltage increase at a range of lower voltage than a prescribed voltage and is decreased in response to the voltage increase in the range of the higher voltage. The operating range of the control voltage is decided to any of the range A where the power change is increased in response to the voltage increase and the range B where the power change is increased in response thereto, and a frequency discriminator is constituted to provide the characteristic whose voltage is increased in response to the frequency increase when the range A is selected and the characteristic whose voltage is decreased in response to the frequency increase when the range B is selected. |
