摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce a space required for mounting a car body by displacing one/ both of central lines of one/both of cylinders from a crank center to reduce the a angle of V. CONSTITUTION:Large end parts of connecting rods 4, 5 are fixed on a crank pin 3, and pistons 8, 9 are rotatably connected with small end parts of the connecting rods via piston pins 6, 7. In addition, the pistons 8, 9 are slidably fitted in front and rear cylinders 11, 12. A central line O1-O1 of the front cylinder 11 is forwardly displaced by 1 from a crank center 1, while a central line O2-O2 of the rear cylinder 12 is also forwardly displaced by 1. For example, when an evacuation amount is not more than 350cc, the amount l of displacement is of about from 0.5 to about 20mm.. Hereby, even if an angle of V is reduced, the both cylinders 11, 12 are displaced in their heights from each other, so that no interference is produced between skirts 13, 14. Moreover, the both central lines are displaced in the direction of rotation of the crank arm 2, so that piston side pressure is reduced.
