A one-way clutch of the type having spring-biased rollers 44a, 44b engaged with inclined ramps 18 has a roller retention cage 24 with spring mounting blocks 50 mounted thereto by inclined tracks 58. The spring mounting blocks are movable along the respective tracks under the centrifugal force of the over-running clutch to further compress the spring and so provide increased energizing force to in turn prevent roller drift along the inclined ramp.
