A coating composition which provides a smooth, porefree coating suitable for the lining of dye processing vessels consists of a filler, such as a mixture of silica flour and barytes, a catalyst, such as a blend of dibutyl tin dilaurate and diazo bis cyclo octane, an accelerated polyurethane based on modified castor oil polyol and hydrogenated castor oil cured with an isocyanate curing agent, such as 4,4' diisocyanato diphenyl methane. A pigment, such as titanium dioxide, and a zeolite drying agent may be added to the composition. Before use, the composition is preferably supplied in two packs, one pack containing the isocyanate curing agent and the other pack containing all of the other constituents. The composition will normally be applied by spraying using metered, twin-feed spraying equipment. |
