A disc-mower including a casing (8) located under the discs (4, 501, 502, 503, 6) and containing an endless transmission member (13) with a view to driving from below at least one of the said discs (4, 501, 502, 503, 6) and wrapped round a laywheel (12, 56), characterized by the fact that the return side (24) of the endless transmission member (13), which extends between the wheel (11) on the last disc (6) and the driving wheel (9), is the tight side of the endless transmission member (13) and that this return side (24) is wrapped in a manner in itself known round a laywheel (12, 56) which is able to move in opposition to elastic means (33, 60).
