PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a light source, a driving device for an original, a special electrical connection or synchronizing device by bringing the original and an electrophotographic sensitive body into tight contact with each other and exposing the same at one time while a panel light source for which the principle of electroluminescence is applied is held fixed. CONSTITUTION:A light panel 23 which is integrally formed to the rear surface of a transparent plate 22 consists of a phosphor layer 26, a transparent conductive layer 27 and a transparent insulating film 28 which are successively superposed and united in one body on a conductive rear plate 25. The brightness thereof is controlled by changing the voltage and frequency to be impressed to the layer 26. An original 11 is positioned to the exposing position on an original platen 12 and a roll 15b is driven; at the same time, an electrostatic charger 16 is operated to move an electrostatically charged electrophotographic sensitive body 14 to the exposing position. The panel 23 is risen together with the plate 22 and the copying surface of the original 11 is brought into tight contact with the surface of the body 14 via the platen 12. The light panel is then lighted for specified time to form the image on the copying surface as an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the body 14 at one time. |
