PURPOSE:To recue the weight of a steel belt by disposing concave and convex portions on both sides of a V-block brought into contact with a V-pulley. CONSTITUTION:A steel belt comprises V-blocks 11 having slight concave and convex portions on both sides 21 thereof brought into contact with a V-pulley 16 to contact the convex curved surface 17 of the V-pulley 16 at two points or two lines, which are coupled to each other at a fixed space therebetween by links 12. The V-block 11 is adapted to deliver power with the V-pulley and transmit tension applied on the steel belt as a link. Thus, the number of parts is decreased to reduce the weight of the belt to a degree. |
