PURPOSE:To improve the response of a kickdown, by operating a kickdown switch along with the depression of an accelerator pedal in the operation of the kickdown to restrict a pressure control valve to regulate line pressure to a high level. CONSTITUTION:A kickdown solenoid 60, which is excited by a signal from a kickdown switch 64, and a push rod 61 are provided in contact with the spring pressure setting portion of a pressure control valve 43 so that in the operation of a kickdown, the switch is operated along with the depression of an accelerator pedal 63 to drive the push rod to restrict the pressure control valve to regulate line pressure to a high level. As a result, the line pressure and auxiliary pulley servo oil pressure can be immediately heightened to perform shifting to a lower speed stage, and the period of time of such operation process can be changed depending on the speed of a vehicle. The response of a kickdown is thus improved. |
