PURPOSE:To facilitate working both end portions of a spring by utilizing the terminal turn of a spring piece formed of shape memory alloy to fix the spring piece to a fixing member. CONSTITUTION:A notch of a stopper 10 is fitted to the terminal turn 7a portion of a spring piece 7 formed of a shape memory alloy. The end portion of the spring piece 7 to which the stopper 10 is fitted is inserted in a cell 9. Subsequently, the open side of the cell 9 is caulked by compression, so that the stopper 10 is kept from slipping out of the cell 9. The spring piece 7 is pressed and fixed to a fixing member 8 by caulking of the stopper 10, whereby the terminal turn 7a of the spring piece 7 is utilized as a fixing hook. Accordingly, the need of working the end portion of the spring piece 7 is eliminated so as to improve work efficiency of manufacturing the spring piece 7. |
