<p>PURPOSE:To prevent jamming, in a paper feeder where a roll paper is fed to the cutting section on the basis of a paper feed command and cut into specific length, by providing means for returning the roll paper properly in accordance with the output from means for detecting the position of the leading edge of roll paper. CONSTITUTION:In case of a double stage paper feed system, if the upper stage paper feed is selected, the leading edge of the roll paper 1 is advanced further to the cutting section 3 than predetermined waiting position to produce H output from a sensor 18a thus to turn on a return clutch 9. Consequently, rotation of returning transmission is transmitted through the clutch 9 to rollers 5, 4 thus to return the roll paper 1 until its leading edge will come to the waiting position. Returning of roll paper 2 at the lower stage is performed similarly, and if the leading edge of roll paper 2 has been at the specific waiting position from the start, the output from the sensor 19a is L to turn off the lower stage return clutch 11.</p> |
