PURPOSE:To make the characteristics of a magnetic material uniform and to increase the magnetic permeability when the material is a soft magnetic material and to make the quality of the material uniform and to improve the yield when the material is a hard magnetic material by treating the magnetic material in a hot state under isotropic pressure after casting. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic material is cast in a casting mold and treated in a hot state under isotropic pressure. This treatment can be carried out by utilizing the heat during the casting, and in case of a certain cast material, the heat of the casting mold is much enough to carry out the treatment. A case casting mold is rapidly cooled, and the treatment may be carried out when the central part of the mold is in a molten state. The desired magnetic material free from internal defects such as blow holes and pinholes can be obtd. by the treatment. |
