PURPOSE:To make a lot of tools and their drive and control attainable with two numerically controlled spindles, namely, servomotors alone. CONSTITUTION:A servomotor 15 driving and positioning a horizontal direction slide is installed in a column 10. With this, a first carriage (unillustrated herein) is shifted in a horizontal direction and located in the specified position. The vertical direction slide consisting of a second guide passage 13 and a second carriage 14 is driven and positioned by a servomotor 18, while the second carriage 14 is positioned by a ball screw 19 and a nut 20. Therefore, the carriage 14 slides in vertical directions by rotation of these servomotors 15 and 18 and positioned as specified. |
