1531349 Saline flavourings MILES LABORATORIES INC 3 Dec 1976 [22 Dec 1975 18 Oct 1976] 50566/76 Heading A2B Foodstuffs are given a saline flavour by incorporating therein a glycinamide salt or a composition thereof, e.g. in amount 0.1- 4 wt.% of the foodstuff. The compositions may comprise 20-91 wt.% glycinamide hydrochloride, sulphate, glutamate, citrate, malate, adipate, tartrate, fumarate, phosphate or ascorbate and 9-80 wt.% of a flavour enhancer, e.g. glutamic acid or its Na, K, Ca and Mg salts, sodium 5'-inosinate and/or sodium 5'-guanylate, NaCl, and mixtures of glutamates or KCl with fumaric, glutamic, citric, malic, tartaric, adipic or ascorbic acid. The compositions may also include spices and flavoured hydrolysed vegetable protein. |
