METALLIC COATING METHOD ON INSULATOR SURFACE

PURPOSE:To form a metallic coating layer having excellent adhesion power on the surface of an insulating plate formed of an uncured thermosetting resin by spraying thermally a molten metal from a nozzle onto said plate and heating the plate thereby curing the insulating plate. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 21 is thermally sprayed from a thermal spraying nozzle 50 onto the uncured surface of an insulating plate 11 formed of a thermosetting resin having a smooth surface to form the metal 20 coated by thermal spraying. The sprayed metal gnaws into the surface of the plate 11 as the surface of the plate 11 is uncured and soft. The insulating plate is cured in this state by the heat retained in the thermal spraying metal or heating from the outside. The metal-coated insulating plate having good adhesion between the metallic coating layer 20 formed by thermal spraying and the plate 11 is obtd.
