PURPOSE:To improve the operativity of developing device of a copying machine which uses toner, and to facilitate its maintenance by separating a developing roll part, developer stirring part, and toner supplementing part from one another, and connecting them through a powder conveying means. CONSTITUTION:The developing roll 1 is arranged facing a photosensitive body 8, and a toner bottle 3 for supplementing toner and a stirrer 2 are arranged separately. The toner in the toner bottle 3 is carried by an auger 4 to the stirrer 2 and mixed additionally with a developer consisting of carriers and toner. The obtained developer is carried by an auger 5 to the developing roll 1 by a proper amount at every time, a magnetic brush is formed on the developing roll 1 through the operation of a magnet 10, and a latent image on the photosensitive body 8 is developed. The developer which is not used and still sticks onto the developing roll 1 is scraped off with a blade 9 and carried again to the stirrer 2 by an auger 6. |
