PURPOSE:To certainly perform the separation of magnetic particles and non- magnetic particles with good efficiency, by acting expulsion force on the non- magnetic particles under the action of an unequal electric field, and acting magnetic force having a direction opposite to that of the expulsion force on the magnetic particles. CONSTITUTION:A conductive base plate 1 is earthed while a plurality of electrodes 2 are provided to the surface thereof in a vertical direction and integrated by an insulator 3 in such a state that constant gaps are left therebetween. When AC voltage is applied to each electrode 2 from an AC power source 4, unequal AC electric field shown by the broken line is formed between the electrodes 2. The non-magnetic particles P in the unequal AC electric field are forcibly subjected to vibration motion and receives expulsion force to a direction shown by the arrow (a) generated by this motion and scattered to the direction going away from the electrodes 2. On the other hand, magnetic particles are scattered to a direction opposite to that of the expulsion force. |
