<p>PURPOSE:To obtain ink giving uniform and vivid color and metallic color even on paper, by mixing a specified pigment of colored aluminum powder dyed with an anionic dye, a resin, and an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A hydroxide of a polyvalent metal is adsorbed on an aluminum powder, which is then dyed with an anionic dye to produce a pigment of colored aluminum powder. Mixing the pigment, a resin, and an organic solvent gives the purpose metallic ink. Since the pigment of colored aluminum powder mentioned above is used, the anionic dye will combine with the hydroxide of a polyvalent metal on the surface of the aluminum powder to form a chelate, which strongly adsorb and bond to stearic acid present on the surface of the aluminum powder. Therefore, it appears that the dye stays uniformly on the stearic acid and the aluminum surface condition remains the same as before dyeing, causing little irregular reflection with the initial gloss of the pigment maintained, thus developing vivid color.</p> |
