APPARATUS FOR REMOVING MOISTURE IN RECIRCULATED OIL

PURPOSE:To perform adsorptive removal of moisture in water while adequately performing the exchange of an adsorbing material on the basis of the electric resistance of the adsorbing material changed by water adsorption, by immersing a moisture adsorbing material in a lubricant recirculated and supplied to a machine apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The lubricant 1 in a lubricant tank 2 is sent to a machine apparatus through a lubricant supply pipe 5 by a pump 4 and the return lubricant is sent into the lubricant tank 2 by a lubricant return pipe 6 to be recirculated and reused. The lubricant 1 increased in moisture content during use is adsorbed and removed with an oil adsorbing material 7 before the rust proofing effect and antifriction property of the lubricant are deteriorated by moisture separated from the lubricant. The adsorbing material 7 is reduced in the electric resistance with the increase of a water adsorbing amount and a current flowing from a power source 10 through electrodes 8, 9 increases while the output of a voltage detector 11 is operated by a relay 2 to light a display lamp 15. By this lighting, the lowering in the moisture adsorbing capacity of the adsorbing material 7 is grasped and, by the exchange with a new adsorbing material, the adsorbing capacity of moisture in the lubricant is restored.
