The solar captor enables all the solar radiation given out by the sun to be picked up in order to transfer the heat produced to a liquid or gaseous heat-exchanging medium and to use the light for illuminating the premises carrying the device. It consists of a supporting frame 1 holding the absorber between upper 2 and lower 3 glazing. The absorber is made from discontinuous elements 4 with multiple planes, one plane 5 being parallel to the glazing 2 and 3 and being extended by oblique planes 6 and 7 inclined towards the upper glazing through different angles with respect to the plane 5. The discontinuous elements 4 are spaced out in such a way as to allow sunlight to pass and thus to illuminate the premises. <IMAGE>
