PURPOSE:To accurately detect the position by mounting a transparent plate on which black parallel lines perpendicularly crossing in the direction of parallel lines of teeth of a platen are drawn on a photosensor, and detecting the fringe formed by the top lines of the teeth and black lines by the photosensor. CONSTITUTION:A linear pulse motor is composed of a platen 5 in which a black nonmagnetic unit 5a is filled in the slots of teeth 5b and a forcer 4 moving on the top of the platen. A transparent plate 6 in which black parallel lines 10 obliquely crossing the direction of the top line 9 of the teeth 5b are drawn oppositely to the teeth 5b of the forcer 4 is mounted, a lamp 7 is provided at the end to direct the optical axis toward the gap of the platen 5 and the plate 6, and a plurality of photosensors 8 are provided on the top. Fringes 11 formed of the top line 9 of the teeth and the black line 10 are read out by the photosensor 8. Accordingly, since the moving speed of the fringe 11 is accelerated to approx. 100 times, the position can be accurately detected. |
