Composition for strippable film-forming surface coating in liquid phase containing, in a liquid medium, a binder, a thickener and, optionally, one or more additives chosen from the usual compatible moss inhibitors, bactericides and usual compatible wetting agents, characterised in that the binder is a film-forming polyvinyl or acrylic resin which can be dissolved, dispersed or emulsified in the liquid medium employed and the thickener is an ammonium polyacrylate or a hydrogenated castor oil compatible with the binder and the liquid medium.
