This installation for milking ewes comprises, for each small cell, a raised platform 1 bordered laterally with barriers 4 and at the front with a door 5 pivoting about a vertical axis 6 of the platform and having an upper cutout in front of which a shutter 20 pivots about an opposing vertical axis 7; each door 5 is operated by means of an arm 12 oscillating in a horizontal plane about the axis 22 of a fixed horizontal disc 16 in order to assume three positions corresponding to the closure, the half-opening of the door by the set of return links 13, 14 actuating the pivot of an arm 9 for operating the door; this arm 9 controls, at its end 10, the shutter 20. On the articulation 18 of the links 13, 14 is mounted a rod assembly 19 controlling the doors of one row. A similar mechanism is provided in an adjacent horizontal plane for the doors of another row. <IMAGE>
