Laminated E=shaped or U=shaped magnetic core

Each shank of the magnetic core is fitted with a short circuit ring, held in a groove of the shank pole surface, with the groove extending across the sheet metal core laminations. On both sides of the magnetic core is mounted a bracket spring approximately in the middle of the core. A free end of each spring passes through one short circuit ring for compressive or tensile engagement of the groove. Pref. the bracket spring has a double arm configuration with the free ends passing through the short circuit ring on each shank. Its middle section is supported on a protrusion. The magnetic core is intended for a contactor with a middle shank and two lateral shanks coupled by connecting strip.
