Novel, readily dispersible, submicroscopic, anion exchange resin particles comprise previously isolated, approx. spherical beads of crosslinked emulsion copolymer bearing 0.7-1.5 anion exchange functional gps. per monomer unit. The beads have dias. of 0.01-1.5 microns. The copolymers are derived from polyethylene unsatd. crosslinking monomers and aromatic and/or acrylic monoethylene unsatd. monomers. Pref. the copolymer is aromatic, esp. a styrene copolymer, esp. a styrene/ divinylbenzene copolymer. The resins may be resuspended to form anion exchange emulsions. |
