The invention relates to a product for controlling small placental mammals and aims, in particular, at the control of moles. The control product comprises a base composition including at least one of the substances from the following group: alkylated or arylated derivatives of benzene, naphthalene, dihydronaphthalene, alkylated or hydrogenated derivatives of naphthalene, indene, anthracene, fluorene, mercaptan; preferably an aromatic composition comprising naphthalene or a derivative thereof, used with a small amount of additive from the family of the mercaptans. The base composition is solubilised in at least one liquid compound from the family of the alcohols. The liquid mixture obtained in this manner can be used for the control of moles by injecting doses of the product into the tunnels dug by the moles across the molehills.
