For transmitting vehicle or train control information, especially control signals, the transmission device has a contactless transmission appliance which transmits information or signals relating to the spacing of two coupled vehicles by means of transmitters and receivers for preferably infrared radiation. The transmission device is especially suitable as a control device for a door which can be assigned a further door at a distance, hence especially for end doors assigned to the gangway between two coupled rail vehicles. The control device has a transmitter (31) and receiver (29) for especially infrared radiation. The receiver (29) receives the radiation emitted from the transmitter (31) of the further door or the radiation emitted from the transmitter (31) and reflected on the further door and, as a function of the opening state of the further door, emits an auxiliary signal which causes the end door to be opened for a specific period of time. After one door has opened, the further door therefore likewise opens automatically, thus allowing unimpeded passage. <IMAGE> |
