<p>Yarn package winder lays overlapping yarn coils as an annular circular array about the axis of a rotary turntable supported by a frame and pref. driven by a variable speed electric motor. A pressure plate is vertical slidable above the turntable on guide members and the yarn package forming area is between the turntable and pressure plate, the latter having a slot through which the yarn is fed downwardly while being traversed laterally by a reciprocating yarn guide, moving above the slot and mounted on the pressure plate which also carries a variable speed motor for driving the guide pref. via an eccentric transmission system. Forms high porosity yarn packages, as skeins for readily accepting dye.</p> |
