<p>The arrangement is intended for breaking-up metal casting moulds and comprises a tool (2) which can be inserted into the mould and contains at least two components (5, 6) which are movable relative to one another, pref. by driving one component (6) out of the other (5), and exert sufficient force to push the walls apart and fracture the mould. The tool may be a hydraulic piston/cylinder mechanism, the piston rod (7) forming the first component and the cylinder (5) the second. The cylinder chamber (8) may receive fluid pressure via a pressure amplifier which at least doubles the pressure from the pressure source used.</p> |
