Method and equipment for the controlled irrigation of plant crops

In the controlled irrigation of earth-free plant crops (hydroponics) by means of fertiliser solutions of at least one fertiliser component dissolved in a particular type of water (well water, rainwater), pH and electrical conductivity are determined. The fertiliser solution composition is adjusted to the intended value with the aid of the actual value determined. Correspondingly, the concentration is changed to the desired fertiliser solution composition. In order to ensure individual, rapid adjustment to different crop cycles corresponding in each case to different fertiliser compositions, a separate actual value determination of the individual fertiliser solution is carried out successively at a central station for each of the various crop cycles, and a concentration change in the fertiliser solution is effected by individually metered addition of fertiliser components and/or types of water.
