A plastic profile unit (1) is fitted along the edge of the metal retaining frame (2) and the pane (3) is set on it, and correctly positioned by means of intervening plates (4) and by pressure against its edge. The channel bounded by metal frame, plastic profile and glass is filled with sealant adhesive, and external embellishing profile pieces are fitted along the pane edge. These may have small retainer hooks plunged into the sealing material. By this means a continuous unbroken anchoring edge is provided for the sheet of glass. |
