Belt band conveyors which are designed to negotiate curves, permit continuous conveying over long distances, while at the same time avoiding unnecessary crushing of grains and dust formation. For the adaptation of belt band conveyors to permit the negotiation of curves, the invention provides for support of the supporting belt (1) which receives the bulk material in the region of a curve (A) by an additional covering or enclosing belt (2) which at least partially grips the supporting belt (1) from below (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
