In a refill signalling device having a float which is guided in a cage on the closure lid of the salt container, displays the brine concentration and bears a display disc via a web, the cage constructed as a guide tube being attached tightly at the top to the underside of the closure lid and being constricted at the bottom to form a lower opening, it is proposed for the purpose of improving the display function that at least one bore (11) is provided in the outer surface of the guide tube (3) below the liquid level (7) in the salt container (1) and slightly below the display disc (6) always remaining in an air cushion (8) when the float (4) sits on the bottom (9) of the guide tube, and that the bottom of the guide tube has, in addition to the central opening (10), at least one further opening (12) which remains free from the lowered float. <IMAGE>
