PURPOSE:To prevent the unnecessary spreading of a silver, and prevent the formation of slub in the air-twisting of the silver, by attaching a suction port having a specific width to the suction box placed close to the roller of a drafting apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The silver S is drafted by the drafting apparatuses 4-7 to form a broad ribbon-like fiber bundle, which is twisted by air-twisting nozzle 2 to obtain a spun yarn.
