PURPOSE:To enable the detection of end breakage accurately and economically, without contacting with the yarn, by placing a temperature sensor close to the part contacting with the traveller sliding on a ring at a high speed, and detecting the end breakge by the temperature of the ring. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 3 such as thermocouple, heat-sensitive semiconductor, etc., is placed on the ring 1' of a ring spinning frame or ring twister at a part close to the part contacting with the traveller 2 sliding on the ring at a high speed. The signal transmitted from the sensor is compared with a standard signal, and an end-breakage signal is transmitted when the difference between the sensor signal and the standard signal is out of preset range. |
