The tab 20 projects from the downstream face of the vane 16 near the inner end of the pivot 14 and at an angle of 45 degrees to 70 degrees, preferably 60 degrees, relative to the plane of the vane so that the plane of the tab is generally parallel to the shaft axis when the vane is at, or less than, the mid position towards its closed position. Preferably, the tab 20 is downstream of and very close to the axis of the pivot 14.</p> |
