PURPOSE:To enable electrical change-over of fire-extinguishing lever device to a fire-extinguishing position or a set position, by utilizing an expandable body of a shape memory alloy. CONSTITUTION:A fire-extinguishing lever device 4, which can be changed over to a fire-extinguishing position A or a set position B, is provided. A burner is provided with a fire-extinguishing expandable body 5 made of a shape storing alloy for shifting the lever device 4 from the set position B to the fire-extinguishing position A, and a restoring expandable body 6 made of a shape memory alloy for shifting the lever device 4 from the fire-extinguishing position A to the set position B. Further, a fire-extinguishing switch 7 for energizing and heating the fire-extinguishing expandable body 5 is attached, and a set switch 8 for energizing and heating the restoring expandable body 6 is provided. This not only senses vibration when earthquake occurs but also senses backfire, which occurs during abnormal combustion or during the use under a strong wind condition, to momentarily extinguish fire, and besides, enables control of fire extinguishment during normal combustion by turning ON and OFF an electric switch, resulting in elimination of the need for mechanical manual operation as in the past. |
