PURPOSE:To enable the long-time operation of a chronograph or the prolongation of battery life, by constituting the power source system of an analogue quartz chronograph from two systems. CONSTITUTION:The function of a chronograph is imparted to the circuit block 7 of an electronic time piece and a chronograph display part for performing the display of the chronograph is further imparted thereto while an auxiliary power source 12 for compensating the current consumption increment of the chronograph part is mounted to the outer part of the electronic time piece. In this case, it is made possible to perform the connection or detachment of the auxiliary power source 12 corresponding to the use way of the chronograph and, in addition, the kind of the auxiliary power source 12 can be arbitrarily selected from a DC power source obtained from various batteries or an AC power source by rectification or the like. By this mechanism, the long-time operation of the chronograph or the prolongation of battery life is enabled. |
