METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLEANING HEAD

PURPOSE:To execute cleaning efficiently while preventing a recording/reproducing head from abrasion by restricting the rotation of a cleaning member within a prescribed time when the cleaning member is charged. CONSTITUTION:A frequency signal (FG signal) generated in accordance with the rotation of a sheet turning motor 6 is shaped by an FG signal shaping circuit 21 and the rectified signal is inputted to an F/V conversion circuit 22 to convert the frequency into voltage. On the other hand, a rotation phase signal generated in a PG coil 12 for detecting the rotation phase of a magnetic sheet or a cleaning sheet to be rotated by the motor 6 is shaped by a PG signal shaping circuit 23 and a saw tooth wave generated by a saw tooth wave generating circuit 24 synchronously with the output of the circuit 23 is compared with a reference phase signal VD at their phases by a phase comparator 25. An error signal DELTAV generated as the compared result is added to the FG signal by the F/V conversion circuit 22 and the added signal is supplied to a motor driving circuit 26 to control the rotation of the motor 6.
